Founder
David Simon is a senior creative marketing executive who has built and repositioned brands that define their categories. Over the last two decades he has led marketing organizations at the CMO and SVP level across SaaS, media, ad-tech, entertainment and consumer electronics.
Most recently as SVP Head of Marketing at Luminate, the data company powering Billboard and Variety's charts, he built the brand and marketing organization from zero, drove billions of weekly press impressions, and consistently surpassed every funnel-stage KPI while more than doubling eight-figure revenue. Before that, he held CMO roles at SteelHouse/MNTN, SocialFlow and PointRoll.
David's tech career began under his mentor, Seth Godin, at Yoyodyne, later acquired by Yahoo!, where he ran Product Marketing and then Promotions for the highest trafficked page on the internet.
David's approach is creative and strategic. Data-informed and story-led, and always highly collaborative. From full brand overhauls to brand-tuned go-to-market playbooks, content engines, PR strategy and demand-gen models that actually convert, David has defined the vision, done the work, built the processes and created the teams that move brands and deliver results.

Luminate powers the Billboard and Variety charts with industry-leading entertainment data and insights. Built Luminate's brand identity, positioning, and market presence from the ground up. Scaled a top-tier marketing team spanning PR, demand generation, events, content, and product marketing.
SteelHouse / MNTN
Rebuilt the marketing organization and originated a sophisticated content marketing strategy that drove lead-gen, enhanced product marketing and supported an aggressive thought leadership and PR plan. Rebranded retargeting business as a leading AI-optimized, multi-channel ad platform featuring CTV.
PointRoll, a TEGNA Company
Charged by CEO and Gannett Chief Product Officer with strategic repositioning and creative rebranding of an established but stagnated brand. Attacked the highly competitive adtech market through all new messaging, web presence, significant industry event participation, PR and an original regional live event program.
CEIVA Logic, Inc.
As chief strategist for digital picture frame and photo sharing subscription service, worked with CEO to position brand and invented business-expanding, revenue-generating features resulting in the organization's first profitable year. Set partnership strategy and managed outbound communication.
Yahoo!
Recruited as part of the acquisition of Yoyodyne by founding executives of the then-leading web portal, reporting to CMO. Hired, trained and managed Sales Programs (Product Marketing), a fifty-member organization providing client strategy, pricing, packaging and sales support to the two-hundred member sales team. Later created the Integrated Promotions group, a thirty-person organization responsible for beyond-the-banner creative strategy and development.
Yoyodyne Entertainment / Seth Godin Productions
Founding senior sales executive at bestselling author and entrepreneur Seth Godin's online promotions start-up. Investors included Fred Wilson's Flatiron Fund, Chase and Softbank. Developed and executed a multi-phase growth strategy, directing the organization from one-off idea shop to a fast-growing, product-driven company with predictable revenue, focusing on Fortune 500 clients. Instrumental to the firm's acquisition by Yahoo!.
Next Big Band
Next Big Band is a data-driven platform that pairs bands with venues to create live music events filled with the band's paying fans. The project was self-funded in Pasadena, CA for 90 days before COVID stopped all live events.
